Join a caring mainstream primary school in Sheffield (S5) as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant (TA) and help create an inclusive and empowering learning environment for every child.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Sheffield S5
Rate: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Day-to-Day / Long-Term | Full-Time / Part-Time
Contract Type: Immediate

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs within a mainstream classroom
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs
  • Deliver one-on-one and small group interventions
  • Promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour strategies
  • Help track progress and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (preferred)
  • TA qualification or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
