Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Sheffield. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence, and thrive in a nurturing school environment.
Role Overview:
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. You will provide tailored academic and emotional support, helping pupils overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEN across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning strategies.
- Promote pupils’ emotional wellbeing, independence, and social skills.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to individual learning requirements.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
