Job Title: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Day-to-day / Long-term

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join welcoming primary schools in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to thrive academically and socially.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Primary TA, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
As an SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist with adapting learning activities to meet pupils’ individual needs.
- Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
- Support pupils with their emotional wellbeing and social skills.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist teachers with classroom management and preparation of resources.
Requirements for SEN Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEN setting.
- Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
