Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay Rate: £85 – £105 per day
GSL Education are looking to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a thriving secondary school in York. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching or education and want to gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide classroom support to teachers and students across KS3 and KS4.
- Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support learning and progress.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive engagement.
- Adapt support strategies to meet the needs of students, including those with SEN.
- Gain valuable insight into teaching practices and school life.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in any subject area (2:2 or above preferred).
- Be passionate about education and supporting young people.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be resilient, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Be considering a career in teaching or education in the future.
