Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield – S11
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Sheffield (S11). This role provides an exciting opportunity to support pupils with additional learning needs, ensuring they have the right guidance and encouragement to succeed academically and personally.
Role Overview:
As an SEN TA, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, providing one-to-one and small group assistance. You will help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where pupils feel valued and supported in their learning journey.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs.
- Assist in delivering individualised learning plans.
- Promote pupils’ independence, confidence, and social skills.
- Support teachers in maintaining an inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
