Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a school in Sheffield (S11). This role is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may be facing social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties, helping them to re-engage positively with their learning.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils, teachers, and support staff to encourage positive behaviour and provide tailored interventions. You will act as a role model, building trust and supporting pupils to develop resilience, self-esteem, and coping strategies.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Support pupils with behavioural, social, and emotional needs on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Provide guidance and act as a positive role model for students.
- Assist teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and report concerns to relevant staff.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and external agencies.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
