Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach with a passion for inspiring young people to develop their fitness, skills, and teamwork?
GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to join a school in Sheffield (S11). This role is an exciting opportunity to support physical education, deliver engaging sports sessions, and encourage pupils to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Role Overview:
As a Sports Coach, you will work alongside PE staff to deliver structured lessons, coach extracurricular sports activities, and promote participation across a wide range of physical activities. You will play a key role in motivating students to engage in sport, teamwork, and personal development.
As a Sports Coach, you will:
- Deliver sports coaching sessions in line with the school’s PE curriculum.
- Support PE lessons and encourage active participation.
- Promote health, fitness, and wellbeing among pupils.
- Inspire teamwork, fair play, and resilience through sport.
- Assist with organising and supervising sports clubs, competitions, and events.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Sports Coach:
- Experience coaching children or young people in a school or sports setting.
- Coaching qualifications or relevant experience in multiple sports.
- Strong communication, motivational, and organisational skills.
- A passion for promoting active lifestyles and sports participation.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
