Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield – S11
Pay Rate: £150 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in Sheffield (S11). This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Role Overview:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH requirements. You will foster positive relationships, implement behaviour management strategies, and provide a nurturing learning space that encourages progress both academically and personally.
As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of SEMH pupils.
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to help pupils build confidence and resilience.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external agencies.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for SEMH Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
