Job Title: PE Support
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated PE Support to join a school in Sheffield (S11). This is a fantastic opportunity to assist in delivering engaging PE lessons, promote healthy lifestyles, and inspire pupils to develop teamwork, resilience, and a love for sport.

Role Overview:
As a PE Support, you will work closely with PE Teachers to support the planning and delivery of lessons. You will encourage participation in physical activities, supervise pupils, and provide additional support to ensure an inclusive and positive learning environment.

As a PE Support, you will:

  • Assist teachers in delivering PE lessons across a variety of sports and activities.
  • Encourage and motivate pupils to participate in physical activity.
  • Support individual pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Supervise groups during lessons, sports fixtures, and extracurricular activities.
  • Promote teamwork, fair play, and positive sporting values.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Requirements for PE Support:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a sports or school setting.
  • A background in sport, fitness, or coaching would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
