School Support Worker
Location: Hackney
Salary: £88 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

GSL Education is looking for a compassionate and proactive School Support Worker to join a specialist school in Hackney. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm, where you’ll provide vital support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and adapted lessons.

Encourage social, emotional, and academic development.

Promote independence and positive behaviour in line with school policies.

Help create an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or additional needs (desirable).

A caring, patient, and resilient approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
