Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Rotherham – S60
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher passionate about inspiring students and helping them develop artistic skills, confidence, and creativity?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join a school in Rotherham (S60). This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support pupil development, and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Role Overview:
As an Art Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that encourage pupils to explore a variety of artistic techniques, develop critical thinking, and build confidence in self-expression. You may also contribute to extracurricular art clubs and exhibitions.

As an Art Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art lessons across various age groups and abilities.
  • Inspire creativity, imagination, and artistic expression in pupils.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support extracurricular art activities, exhibitions, and clubs.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Requirements for Art Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Experience teaching Art across primary & secondary age groups.
  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching strategies in visual arts.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
