Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S17)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and energetic PE Teacher ready to inspire students and help them develop their fitness, teamwork, and sporting skills?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join a school in Sheffield (S17). This is an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support pupil development, and foster a positive and inclusive sporting environment.

Role Overview:
As a PE Teacher, you will plan and deliver dynamic lessons that motivate pupils to participate in physical activity, develop confidence, and build teamwork skills. You will also contribute to extracurricular sports and help pupils develop a lifelong love of fitness and wellbeing.

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons across various age groups and abilities.
  • Promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among pupils.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Support extracurricular sporting activities and events.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Requirements for PE Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience teaching PE across school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
