Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £83 - £95 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across schools in Sheffield.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning within the classroom. You will work with pupils in a one-to-one setting, small groups, or alongside the class teacher to create a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:
- Provide support to teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving learning goals.
- Work with children on a one-to-one or small group basis.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive participation.
- Prepare learning resources and contribute to classroom activities.
- Promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
Teaching Assistant (TA) Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (desirable but not mandatory).
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A patient, enthusiastic, and supportive approach.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
