Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA – EYFS to KS2)
Location: Grimsby
Pay Rate: £98.94 – £114.84 per day (based on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time
Are you a confident and capable HLTA with experience across EYFS to Key Stage 2? GSL Education are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified HLTAs and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking flexible and rewarding classroom experience.
About the Role
As a HLTA, you will support teaching and learning across the primary age range, stepping in to lead lessons when required and working closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality education. Your role will be key in maintaining continuity and supporting pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher.
- Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide small group and one-to-one support to pupils.
- Assist with classroom management and pupil assessment.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working across EYFS to KS2.
- ECTs are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
