Inclusion & Independence Coach
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £90 - £130 per day
Start date: Immediately
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people and adults with SEND? Chelmsford Colleges are seeking a dedicated Inclusion & Independence Coach to join our INSPIRE – SEND Support team.
In this rewarding role, you will:

Support learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to build independence, communication, decision-making, and life skills both in and out of the classroom.

Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, offering tailored coaching and guidance to help them meet their EHCP outcomes.

Assist with personal care, mobility, and access needs to ensure every learner can fully engage with college life.

Guide and advise staff to promote inclusive practice across the college, contributing to training and development initiatives.

Maintain accurate records, support tracking and monitoring of student progress, and contribute to administrative processes related to SEND provision.
What we’re looking for:
-
Understanding of how people learn and a genuine desire to support young people and adults.

Strong organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge and/or experience of working with learners with SEND and understanding of EHCPs.

Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) and a relevant SEND or coaching qualification (desirable).

Experience in a similar role, including personal care and administering medication.

Commitment to professional development, safeguarding, and equality and diversity.
