Teaching assistant
Daily Rate: £85 - £120 per day
Location – Chelmsford
Start date: Immediately
Are you looking to work with children aged 11 – 16 in secondary schools? Do you like helping others get the best out of themselves?
We work with a secondary school in Chelmsford that requires Teaching Assistants to join them immediately. The role is initially to work via our supply agency, full or part-time, with a view to being appointed when an opportunity arises.
Teaching assistant responsibilities:
- Establish a professional rapport with students aged 11 – 16.
- To differentiate the support you give to each student.
- Engage in activities led by the classroom teacher and offer support where possible.
- Provide support to student who have special needs, ensuring their safety whilst following the school’s curriculum.
- Offer guidance and feedback to students under the direction of the class teacher.
Qualifications and experience required:
- GCSEs or equivalent are essential
- A-levels, Degree, Master’s degree, all desirable
- Experience with children outside of school or with vulnerable adults
- The role is also suitable for university students who are currently studying
- Experience in care or nursing would also be desired, but is not essential
Working with GSL Education:
- Work with a small team of 3 consultants, and I will be your dedicated consultant, finding you suitable and regular work.
- Competitive Daily rates via PAYE or umbrella company.
- Work in Secondary and SEN Schools in Chelmsford
- We also offer work in Primary schools
