Salary Scale: £31,650 to £49,084 annum

About the Role:
GSL Education are working with a secondary school in Southampton to successfully appoint an English Teacher to join their team immediately.
The role as an English Teacher is for someone who is passionate about teaching, you will use your exceptional skills and knowledge to help students progress through the levels and help them gain crucial knowledge across the English curriculum. As well as this, you will continue to help maintain the standards of a highly regarded English department. This role would suit an experienced English teacher who is interested in pursuing an exciting and diverse KS3-KS4 English teaching role.
English Teacher role:
- Plan and deliver English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to work within a SEN setting.
- Be approachable, flexible, and adaptable, with a focus on making a positive impact on students' lives.
- Provide support to each student with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in an educational environment.
- Utilise effective communication and relationship-building skills to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Show passion for delivering high-quality education, care, and support to young people.
- When necessary, physically intervene using Team Teach techniques after de-escalation strategies have been unsuccessful (full training provided).
- Build strong team commitment with colleagues and engage pupils to motivate and inspire them in the classroom.
- Acquire appropriate books, teaching aids, and resources as needed
Requirements for English Teacher role:
- Must be based in the UK and not require sponsorship.
- Holds QTS or equivalent is essential.
- Exhibits proactive, energetic, compassionate, flexible and adaptable qualities
- Provides a verifiable work history
- Demonstrated teaching experience.
- Strong desire to work in a SEN setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish strong relationships.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
