Pay Rate: £83 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Wombwell. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in children’s learning by providing essential classroom support and encouragement.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work alongside teachers to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and enjoy learning.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to pupils’ needs.
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom preparation, and organisation.
- Encourage pupil participation, independence, and progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, SENCOs, and parents where appropriate.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting (desirable).
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
