What you’ll be doing as a Secondary School Teacher:
- Plan and deliver inspiring lessons: Prepare well-structured, engaging lessons across KS3–KS5 (depending on your subject and experience) that make learning meaningful and enjoyable for all students.
- Differentiate instruction: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with additional learning needs or high potential, ensuring every student can succeed.
- Foster critical thinking and creativity: Encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas, and think independently, helping them develop problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Use varied assessment methods: Monitor and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, feedback, and creative evaluation techniques, not limited to exams or tests.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment: Establish and sustain a supportive, respectful, and motivating atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and confident to participate.
- Collaborate with colleagues: Work as part of a subject or year team to plan curriculum, share resources, develop teaching strategies, and support whole-school initiatives.
- Engage with parents and carers: Communicate effectively about student progress, celebrate achievements, and work together to support learning and personal development.
- Promote extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities: Encourage students to participate in clubs, competitions, and projects that extend learning beyond the classroom.

The successful candidate should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, GTP, BEd, Cert Ed).
- Specialist knowledge and experience in your subject area.
- Previous teaching experience within a UK secondary school.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for education and helping students fulfil their potential.
