Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Wombwell
Pay Rate: £95 – £113 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a committed Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Wombwell. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in education or for those with experience working with young people, offering the chance to build valuable classroom skills while making a positive difference.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay engaged and focused on pre-prepared work. You will promote a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-set lessons and supervise pupils in the classroom.
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task with their learning.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Encourage participation and provide guidance where needed.
- Support the wider school community as required.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with young people (desirable, not essential).
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Confidence in supervising a classroom environment.
- A flexible, proactive, and reliable approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
