TEACHING ASSISTANT SEN - Expected start ASAP 

GSL Education are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Teaching Assistant to work in one of partner’s our schools in Gosport .

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Supervise and provide support for pupils with special needs
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Support Plans, EHCPs and Personal Care programmes
  • High expectations of children’s learning and behaviour
  • Commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm
  • An effective team member
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

This role as a Teaching Assistant is to support students who have complex needs. The students have autism and need someone who is nurturing and able to overcome barriers to develop rapport with children. You will work closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions, provide 1:1 and small group support, and help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The school is purpose-built with outstanding facilities, including sensory rooms, therapy spaces, and outdoor learning environments. It is known for its nurturing ethos, child-centred approach, and strong multidisciplinary team that includes therapists, specialist teachers, and support staff.

Contract Details of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Location: Gosport
  • Pay: £13.80 – £15 per hour
  • Start Date: ASAP
