Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Bentley (DN5)
Pay Rate: £150 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a welcoming school in Bentley. This role offers the opportunity to deliver personalised learning, nurture pupils’ confidence, and make a lasting impact on their educational journey.

Role Overview:
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of pupils with a range of learning difficulties. You will create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, working closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff to ensure every child receives the support they need.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons to support pupils with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and resilience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, SENCOs, and parents to support pupil progress.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and ensure pupil welfare at all times.

Requirements for SEN Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN in a school or specialist setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching approaches.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
