Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide vital classroom support, help pupils engage with learning, and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.

Role Overview:
As a TA, you will work closely with teachers to support learning and help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will assist with lesson delivery, monitor pupil progress, and provide tailored support where needed.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils’ learning on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Encourage and motivate pupils to engage with lessons and activities.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to work with different age groups and learning needs.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
