Teaching Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £100 - £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term

GSL Education London Branch are excited to be looking for a female Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, committed, and skilled Teaching Assistant who wants to make a positive difference in students’ education and wellbeing.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and personal development, working closely with teachers and other staff to provide high-quality support both in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning across Key Stages.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where needed.

  • Carry out intimate care duties, including manual handling (bed and hoist).

  • Assist with classroom activities and general school duties.

  • Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be a female Teaching Assistant due to the nature of the role.

  • Manual handling certificate (essential).

  • Ability and willingness to carry out intimate care, including use of a hoist.

  • Strong English skills, both written and spoken.

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.

  • A caring, patient, and supportive approach to working with young people.
