Job Title: Early Careers Teacher – KS1

Pay Rate: Up to £175 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate Early Careers Teacher to join schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, build confidence in young pupils, and gain valuable classroom experience while receiving dedicated support and guidance.

Role Overview:
As an Early Careers Teacher in KS1, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of young learners. You will support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development while working alongside experienced colleagues to enhance your teaching practice.

As an Early Careers Teacher – KS1, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to KS1 pupils’ needs.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on pupil progress.
  • Encourage engagement, confidence, and a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil development.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Requirements for Early Careers Teacher – KS1:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • A strong desire to develop as an effective KS1 teacher.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to pupils’ needs.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
