Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing environment.
Role Overview:
As a Primary TA, you will work closely with teachers to provide learning and classroom support, helping pupils to build confidence, engage with lessons, and develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils’ learning on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Encourage and motivate pupils to stay engaged and reach their goals.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with additional needs, where required.
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability to work with different age groups and learning needs.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
