SEN Teacher

Location: Dibden Purlieu

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £31,650 to £49,084 annually

Contract: Full-time | Permanent


GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to work within a Specialist School in Dibden Purlieu. to support students with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex needs. The role requires a teacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN), who can offer structured, personalised learning while working toward the ultimate goal of reintegrating students into their year-group classrooms.

This is a key position within the school’s SEN team and will suit a candidate who is confident in delivering short, targeted lessons and managing a small but diverse class with complex needs.

SEN Teacher Role:

  • Teach a small class of up to 12 students, allowing for focused, individualised support
  • Deliver a broad and engaging curriculum across multiple subjects
  • Follow a Primary Model teaching approach within a specialist setting
  • Access a comprehensive induction programme to help you settle into the role
  • Receive ongoing support through established and robust support systems

Requirements for SEN Teacher Role:

  • Qualified and experienced as a Primary School Teacher or in teaching a broad range of subjects
  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status: PGCE with QTS or working towards QTS
  • Passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Able to adapt teaching methods to suit learners with diverse needs and abilities
  • Committed to delivering the Primary Curriculum to secondary-aged students
  • Motivated to inspire, support, and make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
