SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Winton
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent

GSL Education are looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in schools across Winton.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will provide essential support to children with a range of special educational needs, work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure pupils are fully supported in accessing the curriculum, while helping to foster confidence, independence, and positive social interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN in the classroom and during activities.
- Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
- Encourage students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Help pupils regulate their emotions and behaviour using positive strategies.
- Monitor pupil progress and communicate updates to teachers and parents.
- Work collaboratively with staff and external agencies to provide consistent, high-quality support.
Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or a relevant degree (e.g., Psychology, Education, SEN-related field).
- Previous experience working with children with SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient, and supportive approach to working with children.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
