Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Wimborne
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and helping them build a brighter future? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive school environment in Wimborne immediately.
About the Role
As a Special Educational Needs TA, you will work alongside teachers and other support staff to provide personalised assistance to students with a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life.
- Deliver one-to-one interventions to reinforce learning.
- Assist in the development of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and resilience.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in SEN settings is desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting students’ learning and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications in education or support work are advantageous.
To work with GSL Education as a SEN TA, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
