Job description
GSL Education are looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Loughton. This is a full-time position, starting in September, supporting a child with additional needs on a one-to-one basis.
The Role

Provide personalised support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and develop independence.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.

Support with social and emotional development as well as academic progress.

Encourage positive behaviour and provide a safe, nurturing environment.

Collaborate with parents and professionals to ensure consistent support.
What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs) either in a school, care, or youth setting.

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

A genuine passion for making a difference in a child’s education and wellbeing.
