Complex Needs Support Worker
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 – £110 per day
GSL Education are seeking a Complex Needs Support Worker to work at a Client Secondary school for students with additional needs in York, starting as soon as possible.

Complex Needs Support Worker Responsibilities:
- Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
- Assist in implementing individual behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies.
- Provide in-class support to help students access learning and develop positive routines.
- Deliver focused intervention.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Build trusting, consistent relationships with students.
Complex Needs Support Worker Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with complex challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Training in Team Teach or similar behaviour support strategies is advantageous.
- Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
