Salary: £99 – £125 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support schools across Hull.
About the Role:
As a HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver planned lessons, provide targeted support to pupils, and lead small group or whole-class activities when required. This role is perfect for those with proven classroom experience who are eager to contribute to pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons and cover classes in the absence of the teacher, using prepared materials.
- Support pupils’ learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
- Provide one-to-one or small group interventions to raise attainment.
- Assist teachers in planning, assessing, and delivering engaging lessons.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular or pastoral support.
Requirements for Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4/degree-level qualification.
- Previous experience supporting pupils in EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt to different year groups and settings.
- A genuine passion for supporting the progress and wellbeing of young learners.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
