GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic teacher of Art and Design to join schools across Hull.
About the Role:
As an Art and Design Teacher, you will deliver engaging and imaginative lessons that stimulate curiosity and artistic expression. You will guide pupils in developing their practical and theoretical skills while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment. Your role will be vital in helping students discover their talents and achieve academic success in Art and Design.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Design across key stages.
- Inspire students to explore creativity through a variety of artistic media and techniques.
- Encourage independent thinking, expression, and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare resources and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
- Contribute to the development of the Art and Design curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Support school-wide events, projects, and exhibitions showcasing student work.
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
Art and Design Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in Art and Design with a passion for teaching.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities.
- Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning and delivery.
- A commitment to professional growth and development.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
