Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start Date: 10th September
Contract: 2 Weeks
Location: Newham
Salary: £90 – £105 per day (dependent on experience)

Job Description:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Newham on a short-term, two-week contract starting 10th September. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to provide meaningful support to pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully engage in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.

  • Assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and personal care where required.

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider support team to ensure pupils can access learning.

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.

  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet varied pupil needs.

  • A valid right to work in the UK.

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
