Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S10)
Pay Rate: £150 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher motivated to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in their learning journey?

GSL Education are seeking an experienced SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S10). This role provides the opportunity to deliver tailored lessons, foster positive relationships, and help students develop coping strategies, resilience, and confidence in a nurturing environment.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons suited to the needs of SEMH students.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Work closely with colleagues, SENCOs, and parents to support holistic student development.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management, safeguarding, and child welfare.

Requirements for SEMH Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching SEMH or similar settings in school settings.
  • Strong understanding of strategies to support social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
