Job Title: Religious Education (RE) Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S60)
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate RE Teacher dedicated to inspiring students to explore diverse beliefs, values, and ethical issues?

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed RE Teacher to join a supportive school in Rotherham (S60). This role provides the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and encourage students to develop respect and understanding of different worldviews.

As an RE Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to engage thoughtfully with religious, moral, and ethical concepts.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion and curiosity.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting lessons as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the RE curriculum and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.

Requirements for the role of RE Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching RE in UK school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students across different abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
