Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Rotherham – S60
Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and engaging History Teacher eager to inspire students with the stories of the past and develop their critical thinking skills?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a supportive school in Rotherham (S60). This role offers the opportunity to deliver stimulating lessons, foster a love for history, and help students develop analytical, research, and communication skills.

As a History Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality history lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to explore historical events, concepts, and perspectives.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the history curriculum and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.

Requirements for the role of History Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching History in a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students across different abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
