Job Title: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Rotherham
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in the Rotherham area immediately. As a Primary SEN TA, this role provides the opportunity to support pupils with additional needs, help them engage with learning, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, assisting them in accessing lessons and developing key skills.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements for Primary SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with primary pupils with SEN is desirable.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
