Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Salary: £90 – £100 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for your next opportunity in Worthing?

GSL Education are seeking a committed HLTA to join a welcoming school in Worthing. This role is perfect for someone who can provide whole-class cover, deliver small group interventions, and support teaching staff in raising pupil achievement.

Key Responsibilities of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils.
  • Assist in planning and assessing learning activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant role:

  • HLTA qualification or proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Ability to cover whole classes confidently and effectively.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
