Are you passionate about supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and ready to make a real difference in their educational journey? This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist school in Hackney as a PMLD Teacher, helping students thrive both academically and personally.

This role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm), where you’ll be delivering tailored teaching to pupils with complex learning needs. If you’re creative, compassionate, and committed to inclusive education, this could be the ideal role for you.

Job Details:

  • Role: PMLD Teacher

  • Location: Hackney

  • Salary: £150 – £240 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

  • Contract: Full-Time | Long Term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised lessons that meet the needs of pupils with PMLD.

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider staff to support learning and development.

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Track progress through individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching as required.

  • Promote independence, communication, and personal growth for every pupil.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Previous experience working with PMLD or in a specialist SEN setting is desirable.

  • Strong behaviour management, creativity, and adaptability.

  • Compassionate, patient, and proactive teaching style.

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
