Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lancing
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join welcoming and inclusive schools in Lancing. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with diverse learning needs and help them grow both academically and personally.
Role Overview:
As an SEN TA, you will work alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support to students, helping them feel confident, secure, and engaged in their learning. Your contribution will be vital in creating a nurturing environment where every child can succeed.
Key Duties of a SEN TA:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions for pupils with SEN.
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
- Assist pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social development.
- Help maintain positive behaviour and classroom focus.
- Work collaboratively with staff and families to track progress.
- Participate in school activities and enrichment programmes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with SEN is highly valued.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (desirable).
- A degree in Psychology, SEN or a similar field.
- Kind, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to respond to changing needs in a dynamic school setting.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
