The successful candidate must:
- Be a qualified Bengali Teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).
- Demonstrate recent experience as a Bengali Teacher.
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.

GSL Education is urgently seeking Cover Supervisors for schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We run a very busy 'day to day supply desk'- as well as getting long-term positions through, and require strong, reliable and experienced Cover Supervisors immediately.
The role of a Cover Supervisor involves:
-Sole responsibility for supervising classes and issuing work that has been set by the absent class teacher;
-Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment;
-Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures;
-Dealing with any immediate problems according to the school’s policies and procedures;
-Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher;
-Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.
There are no qualifications necessary to work as a Cover Supervisor but you should feel confident to manage a class of students and to perform the above duties.
