GSL Education is urgently seeking Cover Supervisors for schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We run a very busy 'day to day supply desk'- as well as getting long-term positions through, and require strong, reliable and experienced Cover Supervisors immediately. The role of a Cover Supervisor involves: -Sole responsibility for supervising classes and issuing work that has been set by the absent class teacher; -Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment; -Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures; -Dealing with any immediate problems according to the school’s policies and procedures; -Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher; -Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising. There are no qualifications necessary to work as a Cover Supervisor but you should feel confident to manage a class of students and to perform the above duties. If you are interested in working as a Cover Supervisor in the Tower Hamlets area please email your CV to Taryn ASAP. We look forward to hearing from you!
