GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint outstanding SEN TAs to work on a daily basis at a friendly and dynamic Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ school. 

This is at a lovely all-girls secondary school located in Tower Hamlets and would be day-to-day supply work depending on what the school requires. They are looking for bright individuals who are enthusiastic, empathetic and show initiative. Experience working with SEN students before would be a bonus.
 
This School strives to ensure that all aims and policies of the school include and apply to pupils with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. This process of inclusion relies on the involvements of Specialist School staff, as well as Teaching Assistants together with the SEN teaching team, to be effective. 
 
To be considered for a role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will ideally have:
- A Teaching Assistant qualification e.g. CACHE Level 1, 2 or 3 or a graduate
- Experience with SEN/EAL/ELD students and in-depth SEND knowledge
- Understanding of how to support the inclusion and progress of pupil with emotional and behavioural needs.
- Ability to build relationships with students, other members of teaching staff and senior management.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills, as well as possessing the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- The desire and motivation to meet the challenge of working with children with SEN

GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced PA to  HeadTeacher to join a friendly and dynamic Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ school.
 
The role is at a  large, vibrant and thriving secondary school in the centre of London. The school is looking for someone who can start immediately. This is an on-going temporary position with a possibility of going permanent.
 
This is a key role which requires highly effective organisational and planning ability along with excellent IT and communication skills. Previous experience with SIMS would be desirable and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work under pressure is essential.

GSL Education are seeking a Technician with strong Design and Technology knowledge to provide technical support in Resistant Materials. You will support students and teachers in practical lessons, prepare materials, work in conjunction with teaching staff to develop new projects and maintain the school workshop and equipment.

  • Be able to operate and be responsible for the general maintenance of the equipment in the DT department;
  • Assist with the preparation, distribution and storage of resources and materials and the upkeep of equipment records, within the workshops
  • Inform senior colleagues of any Health and Safety implications as they arise
  • Maintain a high standard of tidiness within the workshops and preparation areas
  • Enjoy working with young people in a busy school setting
  • Have excellent practical skills, be highly organised and self-motivated

One of our mixed and comprehensive secondary schools in Tower Hamlets is currently seeking an organised and experienced Data/MIS Officer to fill a position starting ASAP. The School was judged “Outstanding” by OFSTED in their most recent inspection.  The school has onsite car parking and is also situated very close to London Overground and Underground stations.
 
The School is looking for an individual who will work closely with the Data/MIS Manager to support the raising of standards by using data, including pupil assessment and reporting systems, pupil data and reports and statistical information (both external and internal).
 
The successful candidate will:
- Have proven experience relevant to the post.
- Have experience of (or the ability to learn) SIMS MIS and other education software packages (for example, 4Matrix, SISRA)

GSL Education is urgently seeking Cover Supervisors for schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We run a very busy 'day to day supply desk'- as well as getting long-term positions through, and require strong, reliable and experienced Cover Supervisors immediately. The role of a Cover Supervisor involves: -Sole responsibility for supervising classes and issuing work that has been set by the absent class teacher; -Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment; -Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures; -Dealing with any immediate problems according to the school’s policies and procedures; -Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher; -Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising. There are no qualifications necessary to work as a Cover Supervisor but you should feel confident to manage a class of students and to perform the above duties.
