Salary: £98.94 to £114.84 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover classes in the teacher’s absence. Key Responsibilities of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):

  • Deliver tailored learning activities to individuals and small groups.
  • Support teachers in planning, preparing, and assessing lessons.
  • Provide classroom cover when required, maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students with varying needs, adapting strategies to suit different learning styles.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to support student development.

Requirements of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):

  • Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification (or be working towards it).
  • Demonstrate experience supporting teaching and learning in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead learning activities independently.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.

To work with us as a HLTA, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through us.
