About the Role
As a Subject Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, subject-specific support to students. Working closely with teaching staff, you’ll help design and deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted academic interventions, and support learners in mastering key concepts. Whether you're leading small groups or offering one-on-one guidance, your subject knowledge and enthusiasm will help students thrive.
Key Responsibilities of Subject Specialist
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver subject-specific lessons tailored to student needs.
- Provide focused academic support through individual and small group sessions.
- Use your subject expertise to explain complex concepts in an accessible and engaging way.
- Support students in developing effective study habits and exam techniques.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
Requirements of Subject Specialist
- Previous experience in a teaching or subject support role.
- Strong subject knowledge in your area of expertise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for education and student success.
- Relevant qualifications or training in your subject area are desirable.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
