Position: Year 1 Class Teacher
Location: Bowers Gifford
Salary: £125 - £240 per day (£24,375 - £46,800), depending on experience and qualifications!
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time available)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Plan and teach engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning as a Year 1 Class Teacher.
  • Support Individual Needs: Differentiate instruction to ensure all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, build a classroom culture that is inclusive, respectful, and motivating.
  • Track and Assess Progress: Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor student development and inform teaching.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with fellow staff to plan cross-curricular activities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Engage with Parents and Carers: Maintain open communication with families to support student learning and well-being as a Year 1 Class Teacher.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in KS1.
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative, reflective, and proactive approach to teaching.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
