GSL Education invites applications for a Year 1 Class Teacher to join supportive and forward-thinking primary schools in Corringham. Position: Year 1 Class Teacher
Location: Corringham
Salary: £125 - £240 per day (£24,375 - £46,800), depending on experience and qualifications!
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time available)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Responsibilities of Year 1 Teacher:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, plan and teach creative, curriculum-aligned lessons that inspire curiosity and achievement.
- Support All Learners: Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, ensuring inclusive and effective learning as a Year 1 Class Teacher.
- Create a Positive Environment: Build a safe, respectful, and stimulating classroom culture where every child feels valued.
- Monitor and Assess Progress: Use a range of assessment tools to track student development and inform future planning as a Year 1 Class Teacher.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, work as part of a team to share ideas, plan cross-curricular activities, and support school-wide initiatives.
- Engage with Families: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.
Skills and Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Prior experience teaching in KS1.
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A creative, reflective, and proactive approach to teaching.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
