Location: Leicester
Salary: £92–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm | Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term
About the Role
GSL Education are currently seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants with a strong background in supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, and SEMH needs.
You will be working within primary schools in Leicester, providing tailored support to help pupils manage behaviour, engage in learning, and develop key social and emotional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH
- Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
- Support emotional regulation and positive engagement in lessons
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning activities
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Encourage independence and confidence
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Calm, resilient, and consistent approach
- Ability to respond effectively to challenging behaviour
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- TA qualification (Level 2/3) – desirable but not essential
