Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking motivated and enthusiastic PE Teachers to work in schools across Sheffield.

As a PE Teacher, you will inspire students to develop their physical abilities, resilience, and enjoyment of sport. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging lessons that encourage participation, build confidence, and support students' overall wellbeing both inside and outside the classroom.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach a range of sports and physical activities across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5

  • Encourage student participation, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards physical fitness

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Adapt activities and lessons to meet the needs of all learners

  • Promote high standards of behaviour and sportsmanship

  • Organise and support extracurricular sports activities where required

  • Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community

Requirements of a PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject

  • Experience teaching PE in a school setting is desirable

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities

  • A positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach to teaching

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
