Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70 & S71)
Pay Rate: Up to £200 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and motivated Science Teacher looking to inspire pupils and make a meaningful impact in the S70 & S71 areas of Barnsley?
GSL Education are seeking experienced Science Teachers to work in schools across Barnsley (S70 & S71). This exciting opportunity allows you to deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics while supporting pupils’ academic progress and curiosity for science.
As a Science Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Promote scientific enquiry, practical experimentation, and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold high standards of teaching and learning.
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements for the role:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience teaching Science at school level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
