Job Title: Behaviour Support / Mentor
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you patient, resilient, and dedicated to supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs in the S25 area of Dinnington, Sheffield?

GSL Education are seeking committed Behaviour Support / Mentors to work in schools across Dinnington (S25). This role offers the opportunity to positively impact pupils’ behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in learning.

As a Behaviour Support / Mentor, you will:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
  • Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Build trusting relationships to support pupils’ engagement and confidence.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to implement behaviour plans.
  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and de-escalation skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
